Virgin Atlantic have been celebrating 25 years in the sky by re-creating the inaugural flight from the 22nd June 1984.
Many of the same high-profile celebrities who travelled on the flight 25 years ago were on board, flying from London Heathrow to Newark, New York. Celebrities such as Ian Botham and Christopher Biggins who were on the 1984 flight were joined by 2009 personalities including Jessica Taylor and Kevin Peitersen. To begin celebrations, Sir Richard Branson danced on the wing of one of his planes with Kate Moss, the model.
Later on, the Virgin Boss hosted a star studded party where guests were treated to a surprise performance, with Sir Richard joining the award winning West-End Musical – Jersey Boys on stage.
