Blanka pregnant, in New Orleans' June heat and humidity, walked to her father, where she had a conversation with her mother. New Orleans' anarchy, crime were constant reason for mother's anxiety and worries about her Daughter's safety and well-being. Her father visited Blanka daily and provided for her needs as shopping, healthy food, vitamins, not only to help Blanka , but to ensure her safety. They also were spending time together, every free time from Blanka's father's job responsibilities and commitments. Blanka was going through unprecedented in her life hardest, painful time. It was the only time when she had been vulnerable, and she had become the prey for the interns and residents kids on St.John The Baptist Night, the beginning of Summer we used to welcome and celebrate. They murdered Blanka on that steamy weekend !
